Jesus met me right where I was at

I woke up the other night and I kept hearing ” I will meet you right where you are at” I knew that the Holy Spirit was saying quit worrying I have it under control, actually I didn’t even realize that I was worried.

April was an eventful month it was filled with normal life things like Birthdays and of course Tax day! I also was helping plan a Womens event at my church, and also was going to be one of the guest speakers, which I have never done before and it was on the 30th , so needless to say my schedule was full.

I also had been given a Holy Ghost inspired idea to have the Ladies in my church get together and make sugar cookies for our 2019 Flourish Womens Conference that had power words written on them like Healed, Forgiven, Saved, Joy anyways, this was a huge task within its self but , wow when the Holy Spirit speaks and you listen the results are amazing and the effort isn’t complicated! Jesus will meet you right where you are at even if it is Baking 380 Cookies and decorating them all!

God has a Plan for us all and if we will just listen and initiate He will use that plan to help many. I had one of our ladies that volunteered to bake 4 dozen of the delicious beauties say to me ” May I pray over the dough as I make them?” my heart was touched that she thought of that. I had asked Christina another lady from another church that I knew had experience in baking sugar cookies and decorating with Royal Icing to come and help us after I asked her she told me that she had been praying for God to show her what he wanted her to do for him, because Her and her husband are Youth Pastors and they have little children so she is extremely limited on being available to help with their youth ministry so she was feeling unused. Christina was an Amazing teacher she jumped in as if she knew each and every one of us and showed the ladies how to outline and flood the cookies and then the task came to write the words, well Christina said I will do it and she wrote beautiful words and put tiny little flowers on the little cookie masterpieces.

I believe that there were 15 or so women that I had asked to help and each and every one of them took more then sugar and stained fingers from food coloring home with them that day! to be honest we used 28lbs of confectioners sugar and 3lbs of butter and a whole list of other items just to decorate these beauties and I am sure that there are stories I don’t even know about yet! What I am trying to say is this Jesus will met you right where you are at and he will make a way and he does have a plan, you see we just have to be obedient and first listen and the just innate it, and you will never know who it will touch. I am reminded of the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the PLANS I have for you says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” this is why my heart is full of joy.

We had a whole other road to travel before we were completely done with our cookie task and that was getting them from Lynettes home which she heads up our church Cooking Club to the church! Well as always Megan our Youth Pastors wife said hey I will bring the church van and Candy our Pastors wife and I will pick them up, now that was a true blessing because we didn’t have any idea how we could get them to the church without destroying them.

The whole task of setting up just the hospitality area of the conference I think ministered to several who were involved , and then listening to the Ladies who came rave about how beautiful it was makes me want to help every time we have an event! without even talking about the whole guest speaker thing I feel like I was double blessed and I believe that is what God was trying to get me to understand is that I just need to do what he is telling me even though I don’t understand and he will take control and it will be more then we could even imagine!

” Jesus met me right where I was at” is such an anchor for me to say ok God I trust you, so what is God saying to you right now? just know he will meet you right where you are at that is if you are looking for him.
